SSF Data Sourcing Team is a Delivery Team that is responsible that for new Finance and Financial Risk regulatory reporting, data is collected from the different banking units in one standardized data format applied for Finance and Risk. This standard data format (SSF = Standard Sourcing Format) is defined on a very granular level and linked to business definitions and Finance and Risk policy requirements (translated into sourcing instructions for SSF formatting). The data owners of the relevant golden sources are responsible that their (local) data format is mapped against the SSF format according the sourcing instructions defined.

Members of the SSF Data Sourcing Team liaise with the local data owners to explain and refine new data requirements and its sourcing instructions, to capture and monitor the local data delivery planning and subsequently measure to what extend the delivered data meets the defined sourcing instructions and liaise with the local data owners to repair omissions (also known as Sourcing Profiling). There are also supportive activities that are focussed on developing and rolling out a frame work to profile delivered data against sourcing instructions, ultimately some of these checks will move towards local data owners, further up the stream into data-dubs on integrated data (INSTAGRAMS) or even into consuming platforms such as GREAT. The department consists of a team of data analysts (10-12 people) in the field of Regulatory reporting. The sourcing department is the expertise with regard to identifying, interpreting and assessing the impact of changes to sourcing needs in respect to changes in regulatory reporting and translating this in reporting- and process implementation requirements. This position is specifically for the team responsible for data profiling checks. 

As a Data Analyst for the Data Quality team, you deliver the necessary knowledge and skills to make standard and best products/services for your users and work on a continues improvement of our Data Quality. Besides that, you continuously deepen and broaden your knowledge and skills. You will learn more about the products and systems of the bank and the various reporting tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI). Furthermore, in this position, you are getting to know the bank because you are in contact with a lot of stakeholders of all business lines and entities of the bank. In this role, the day by day tasks can be:

• Support and improve the Data Quality (DQ) control process: understand the data model and the data attributes in it as well as the cohesion between various data attributes.
• Writing new DQ controls, updating and improving existing controls, managing change requests, discussions with stakeholders, support of the technical building and implementation of the DQ controls.
• Create and improve the DQ control output management (dashboards), analyse the outcome of the existing DQ controls and help the data owners to understand the DQ issues found and how to solve them
• Document the process and descriptive statistics and discuss this with your stakeholders;
• Effective documentation based on understanding of the way of working, new requirements, relevant decisions taken, etc.
• Discuss with stakeholders future roadmap, goals for the upcoming period, way of working and provide valuable inputs yourself;
• Check and test systems & controls after the implementation of the change.
